Google Calendar · Scheduling

A calendar your front desk can work with.

Bring Google Calendar into an appointment workflow with an explicit calendar choice. Evarmont’s booking remains the record of what was confirmed; the external calendar is a connected part of the work.

Implemented actions

  • Read free and busy intervals
  • Create and update appointment events
  • Cancel a mirrored appointment
  • Select a calendar and check connection health

Choose the calendar deliberately

A calendar list is not a booking destination. Select the calendar your front desk actually uses, then bind it to the intended location or organization. Evarmont validates the selection against the connected account.

This matters when an account has a personal calendar alongside several shared business calendars. A successful sign-in alone does not decide where appointments belong.

Keep a retry from becoming another event

Google’s event creation supports a caller-assigned event identifier. The adapter reuses that identifier and retrieves the existing result after a collision, so a lost response can be reconciled.

Cancellation can mark an event cancelled or remove a mirror, depending on the configured cancellation policy. A failed mirror operation does not roll back the underlying Evarmont booking.

Connect the account

An authorized manager connects through Google’s consent screen, then selects a calendar from the account. Connections can be assigned as an organization default or to a location.

Google account identity, read access for calendar availability and access to create or change calendar events. Continuing access lets the connection work after the initial sign-in.

Events and inbound changes

Calendar change notifications trigger a re-read. A notification itself is not trusted as a complete appointment update. Sync checkpoints track progress; an expired checkpoint requires a fresh reconciliation.

Disconnect with clear expectations

Disconnecting stops further availability reads and event writes through this connection. It does not cancel existing Evarmont bookings. Access can also be revoked from the Google account.

Questions about Google Calendar

Does connecting Google make this integration ready for live calls?

No. Provider setup, the required permissions, calendar selection and live verification must all be completed. The integration is currently in development.

Does Evarmont choose my primary calendar automatically?

The workflow requires an explicit selected calendar. Location and organization bindings decide which eligible connection is used.

What happens if Google access is revoked?

The connection needs attention or reconnection. Existing Evarmont appointments remain recorded; the affected calendar operations cannot continue until access is restored.
