Subprocessors

A subprocessor is a company we rely on to run Evarmont and which, in doing so, handles some of the information a business or its customers give us. Each one acts on our instructions, may not use the information for its own purposes, and is bound by a written agreement with us. This page lists them and says what each one does.

• Twiliocarries phone calls and text messages to and from the business’s number.
• ElevenLabsunderstands what a caller says and speaks the assistant’s replies during a call.
• Anthropicprovides the language model that reads a customer’s email and proposes a reply for a member of staff to approve, for businesses that turn on the email front desk. What is sent is described below.
• Supabasestores the business’s bookings, customer records, transcripts and email cases, and signs staff in.
• Fly.io hosts the Evarmont service that handles calls, bookings and email.
• Vercel hosts this website and the staff console.
• Stripeprocesses a business’s subscription payments. Card details go to Stripe directly and never pass through Evarmont.

When a business connects a mailbox to the email front desk, Evarmont sends bounded text from a customer’s email thread to Anthropic so that a reply can be proposed. The bound is fixed in the software and cannot be widened by configuration: at most the six most recent messages of the thread, each cut to 4,000 characters, together with the answers the business has approved for the assistant to use and the business’s signature.

• Attachments, their contents, other threads and the rest of the mailbox are never sent.
• Email the front desk sets aside before any model runs, such as newsletters and automated notices, is never sent.
• Nothing the model proposes reaches a customer until a member of staff has read and approved it.
• Under the terms we hold with Anthropic, what we send is not used to train its models.
• A business that does not turn on the email front desk sends nothing to Anthropic at all.

When a business connects a Gmail or Microsoft 365 mailbox, it grants Evarmont access to a mailbox it already holds with that provider. Google and Microsoft continue to act for the business under the business’s own agreement with them, not on our instructions, and the business can withdraw that access from its Google or Microsoft account at any time.

When we add a provider or change what one does, we update this page and the date above before the change takes effect, and we tell the businesses using Evarmont where the change affects the information they hold about their customers.
